UPDATE- MCTXSheriff Investigates Deceased Male and Female at Riva Row
As a result of the investigation, including the details learned from the autopsy, it is believed that
this was a case of murder/suicide in which Abigail Dacles Epstein (40 years old) shot her husband
David Berry Epstein (37 years old) then took her own life.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office expresses our condolences to the Epstein family and
friends who have been impacted by this tragic event.

MCTXSheriff Investigates Deceased Male and Female at Riva Row
On Sunday March 7, 2021 the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting a male and female that appeared to be deceased. MCTXSheriff Deputies responded to a parking garage in the 2200 block of Riva Row, The Woodlands, Texas and observed a male and female deceased from gunshot wounds. Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives were called to the scene and are currently investigating. At this time it is believed there is no threat to the public.
This is an ongoing investigation, and the names of the male and female involved cannot be released until Detectives have a positive identification and next of kin can be notified. We have no further details that can be shared at this time.
