All of the Sheriff's Office Motors are fully equipped with state of the art technology and equipment including LED lighting, mobile doppler radars, handheld LIDARs and mobile data computers.

The duties of the Motorcycle Traffic Unit are to enforce all traffic laws in high-frequency locations, vehicle crash investigations, commercial motor vehicle enforcement, neighborhood patrols, special event and dignitary escorts and assisting disabled motorists. Also, motorcycle deputies are used to assist in traffic control at major incidents where a crash or some other major event has significantly impacted traffic flow in a given area. On a daily basis, these deputies are assigned to work any given area throughout the unincorporated areas of Montgomery County.
