MCTXSheriff Arrests Wanted Felons from Houston in Woodforest Subdivision
On August 1, 2023, at approximately 4:00 am, MCTXSheriff Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call near the intersection of Hidden Peak Drive and N Cascade Height Drive in Montgomery, Texas. While en route to the location, Deputies were notified that a green Toyota 4Runner had been circling the area of an active construction site which was unusual considering the time of day. Deputies arrived in the area and located a vehicle matching the description driving away from the area. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, which evaded traveling at a high rate of speed through the neighborhood. The suspect vehicle eventually crashed into a tree before two suspects exited the vehicle and ran into a nearby wooded area, where Deputies were unable to locate the suspects.
At approximately 8:30 am, a local resident observed two males walking in the area who matched the description of the suspects. Deputies responded to the location and detained both males, who were identified as 19-year-old Diego Lara from Houston and 17-year-old Christian Valadez from Houston, both of whom had active felony warrants out of Harris County. After the investigation, the suspects were transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where they were both charged with Evading, in addition to their outstanding warrants.
This is another great example of neighbors watching over their community and the public helping us by reporting suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
