MCTXSheriff Investigates Shooting on W Creek Drive
On July 23, 2023, at approximately 11:20 am, Deputies responded to an assault with a firearm call at a residence in the 1400 block of W. Creek Drive, Conroe Texas. Upon arrival, Deputies located an adult female with several gunshot wounds who was quickly transported to a local hospital, and an adult male with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, along with Crime Scene Investigators, responded to the scene and are currently conducting their investigation. Preliminary investigation indicates that the altercation occurred between the male and female, who are related, which escalated when the male retrieved a gun and shot the female before turning the gun on himself. The female is currently at a local hospital, in stable condition, being treated for her injuries.
This is an isolated incident with no threat to the public. The names of the individuals involved in this tragic incident are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. This investigation is still active, and no further information is available for release.
