MCTXSheriff Makes Arrest for Promotion of Prostitution

On January 5, 2023, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit completed an operation regarding Human Trafficking and “Buyers of Illicit Sex” in the central Montgomery County area. As a result of this operation, 30 year old Gregory Deshawn Beasley was arrested for Promotion of Prostitution, a 3rd degree felony. Beasley was arrested for attempting to recruit the undercover officer to work for him as a prostitute. Beasley has an extensive criminal history and is currently on bond for Murder out of Harris County. Beasley is currently in Montgomery County Jail with no bond.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Unit, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and other members of the Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance (a Task Force sponsored by the Houston Police Department) participated in this operation.

The Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance is a multi-agency taskforce comprised of Federal, State and Local Law Enforcement from our region with the mission to rescue victims of human trafficking and stop people from engaging in activities that promote these crimes. We will not tolerate this activity in our community, and strive to deter the demand for commercial sex and rescue those who are being trafficked.
