MCTXSheriff Participates in Multi-Agency Holiday Task Force

On December 15, 2021, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was part of an eight-agency Montgomery/Harris County Multi-Agency Law Enforcement Holiday Initiative task force. Working together in proactive patrol along the Interstate 45 corridor from State Hwy 242 to the north, and south to FM 1960, as well as businesses and apartments in that freeway corridor, we are pleased to announce the results of this task force’s efforts:

  • A total of 118 traffic contacts (71 citations and 47 warnings)
  • 23 suspicious vehicle contacts
  • 9 suspicious person contacts
  • 18 arrests
  • 20 warrants cleared
  • 2 contacts leading to further investigations

Sheriff Rand Henderson stated, “I’m so proud to join with all our law enforcement partners working diligently together to achieve these results. We also hope our community takes great comfort in knowing their law enforcement agencies continue to have the goal of professional service and safety to our public.” Additionally, each agency has committed to continue this type of initiative throughout the holiday season in our efforts to reduce crime and the fear of crime for the citizens and guests of our counties.
