When is his/her court date?
The jail does not assign or track court dates. For felony offenses you should contact the Montgomery County District Clerk’s Office. For misdemeanor offenses contact the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office.
Can I leave a message for an inmate?
We do not give inmates messages unless it is an emergency and we have verified the emergency. The inmate went to court this morning and the judge said he/she was going to be released; have you released them yet? When inmates go to court we may not receive court paperwork until after 5:00 pm. There are occasions where the court has to wait on the judge to sign the judgment, and we do not receive the paperwork until the next day. Once we receive the judgment all necessary paperwork is processed. Once all charges and holds have been disposed of the inmate will be released. All inmates are checked for new warrants prior to release. You may check the Jail Roster to see if the information has been updated.
How long will it take to release them?
Processing an inmate for release can take several hours depending on many factors. Releases are processed 24 hours a day. You may check the Jail Roster to see if the information has been updated. Once an inmate no longer shows on the roster, they have been released from custody of the Montgomery County Jail.
When can property be picked up?
Inmate property can be picked up between 8 am and 9 pm any day of the week. The property officers complete the requests as quickly as they can, but the process can take up to an hour or longer depending on many circumstances which occur inside the jail. Once the request is made for an inmate to release his/her property you must remain in the lobby to receive the property. This will ensure the efficient transfer of the property and allow the officer to return to their other duties. You must present a valid Identification Card, Driver’s License, or other State or Federal Government Agency Identification when making the request to ensure inmates are releasing their property to the correct person.
