Major Andrew W. Eason

Major Andrew W. Eason has been serving in law enforcement for over 25 years beginning his career in the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hired Major Eason in 1992, where he served as a Civilian Jailer. After attending and graduating from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Academy in 1993 he was promoted and transferred to the Patrol Division where he was assigned to District II as a Patrol Deputy. In 1997, he attained the rank of Detective and assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.  When he was promoted to Sergeant in 2002 he transferred back to the Patrol Division as a District Sergeant. On January 1, 2005, Eason was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to District VI as the District Commander.

Major Eason was promoted to Captain on January 1, 2010, and assigned to The Woodlands Township Patrol Division and then again in 2021 to his current rank as Major. He is currently assigned to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division as the Jail Administrator. Major Eason is a Master Peace Officer, Master Jailer, TCOLE certified Jail Administrator, Certified Field Training Officer and Crime Prevention Inspector. He has also served as a Critical Incident Commander for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT/Negotiator team.

Additionally, in March 2009 Major Eason was recognized by his peers and administration as the recipient of the 2009 Woodlands Township Public Safety Hero’s Award. He was also honored in 2009 when he received the “Sheriff’s Award” for rendering service to the Sheriff’s Office beyond the normal course of duty.
