MCTXSheriff Holds 3rd Annual “Sharing is Caring” Food Drive

On May 4, 2019, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office held its 3rd Annual “Sharing is Caring” Food Drive. With the help of multiple agencies, volunteers and community partners, over 35,000 pounds of food, hygiene, and household supplies were donated as well as $24,000 in financial donations were collected and given to Mission Northeast. All items donated support Mission Northeast and the community it serves, which is an 11 zip code mostly the East Montgomery County area.

Sheriff Rand Henderson states, “These boots on the ground events are invaluable to ensuring that those less fortunate receive the things they need. In this day and age, there's no reason for members of our community to go hungry. I couldn't be more proud of the selfless efforts of all those involved who made this event a success for our local community.”
