Sheriff’s Office Arrest Male for Aggravated Robbery

On April 13, 2018, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to an aggravated robbery that occurred in the 23000 block of Rouse Rd in Porter, Texas.

When Deputies arrived they learned that in the morning hours of April 13, 2018, a 71 year old male victim observed an unfamiliar Chevrolet truck in his daughter’s driveway next door. The victim went to investigate and found a Hispanic male exiting out of his daughter’s house through the back door, carrying a coin bank belonging to the victim’s grandson. The victim confronted and attempted to stop the suspect who was trying to flee in his truck. The suspect beat the victim in the head with what appeared to be a handgun that the suspect had retrieved from inside his vehicle. The victim sustained several lacerations to his scalp and eventually let go of the suspect. The victim was transported to Kingwood Hospital where he was treated. The victim was able to provide enough information about the suspect’s truck, which led Detectives to identify the suspect as Belter Arenas-Peralta.

On August 15, 2018, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with Federal Agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), arrested Arenas-Peralta for aggravated robbery at his residence in the 13000 block of E. Hardy Street in Houston. The weapon used in the case was also located and recovered.
Thank you to the combined efforts of these agencies, 20 year old Belter Arenas-Peralta was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail and charged with Aggravated Robbery. Additionally, ICE, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) placed an immigration hold on the subject.
