While in route, Deputies learned that the suspect had attempted to conceal store merchandise in his pants. As Deputies were arriving, the suspect removed the items from his pants and placed the items back on the store shelf. The male was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail for booking. During the booking process the male identified himself to Jail Staff and to the arresting Deputy as Christopher Bell and was subsequently booked under that name.

Once he was released from jail, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was made aware that the same male had given a fictitious name. The male’s real name is Dewey Gomez Cantu.
