The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Human Resources assists the Sheriff’s Office Administration in the management of over 900 personnel comprised of 499 sworn positions and 410 civilians. MCSO HR staff act as both a direct human resources contact while also serving as a liaison between Montgomery County Human Resources and Risk Management under certain circumstances. In addition to ensuring proper handling of all personnel-related matters, the MCSO HR team also facilitates all external and internal application processes, provide metrics and analysis to leadership, as well as is currently expanding analysis to better engage and equip decision making and decision-makers. We are excited and pleased to provide support to our agency who serves our own community and strive to be a resource to them in their mission.

Summary: Mr. Russell has personnel management experience in the private sector, nonprofit, and public sectors. He joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 2014, is a resident of Montgomery County, and has been working full-time in human resources for over 3 years.

Kim Schuessler – Human Resource Specialist II
Education: Florida Metropolitan University, Bachelors of Business Administration

Summary: Mrs. Schuessler has been working in Human Resources on a full-time basis since 2004 beginning in Foster Care and followed by a move to TDCJ. Mrs. Schuessler then joined the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in February of 2011. She is also a resident of Montgomery County.
